Clients and prospective clients will increasingly look for us to use these tools (the internet) to provide the services they need.
By use of a Perl Script, when a client clicks on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form, the responses are formatted by that script into pairs (field name - data entered) and then emailed to you or written to a delimited text file (secure version) stored on the web site server. This delimited text file can be imported into any spreadsheet or database program you may be currently using. (Note: You can choose the delimiter character ( , | , ~ , ^ , etc.)).
The form responses are written to a data file on the secure server which is password protected, hence only accessible to you.
The directory where the data files are located are password protected, with the userid and password known only to you.
The data files are delimited files, readable by any spreadsheet or database program, you already use.
